Tim Mundhenke

Dr. Tim Mundhenke is Chief Financial Officer of Peek & Cloppenburg, a pan-European multibrand omnichannel fashion retailer. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in leading and transforming finance organizations across different business and growth stages. 

Dr. Mundhenke studied Business Administration at EBS University of Business and Law and earned his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen. In addition, he completed a part-time Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Law at the University of Cologne. He is also a certified tax advisor. 

He began his professional career at international law firms, including Clifford Chance and Linklaters, where he spent approximately ten years. During this time, he gained extensive expertise in tax, financial, and transaction-related matters. He subsequently assumed senior finance leadership roles, including Head of Finance at Funke Media Group and Chief Financial Officer at venture capital- and private equity-backed companies. 

In his current role, Dr. Mundhenke is responsible for the entire finance function. His professional focus is on the continued development of finance organizations, strengthening performance management and steering structures, and positioning finance as a strategic partner to management and governing bodies. He places particular emphasis on the digitalization of the finance function, the use of artificial intelligence, and a leadership approach based on influence and trust rather than formal authority.
