Inanna Genthner
Thieme Gruppe
Inanna Genthner is Director Finance & Accounting at Thieme. She supports the development of the finance function within a company that is transforming from a medical publishing house into a digital healthcare services provider. At the heart of her work are the standardization and automation of finance processes, as well as the question of how Finance can become an even stronger partner to business functions and management.
Before moving into an in-house finance leadership role, Inanna Genthner worked in Audit at PwC. There, she primarily advised family-owned businesses and mid-sized corporate groups, including both publicly listed and privately held companies. This experience sharpened her understanding of what happens when established structures, increasing governance requirements, and the need for efficient, scalable processes converge.
Today, at Thieme, she pursues the goal of automating routine activities across the finance function wherever it adds value. This creates capacity for business partnering, performance steering, and the active contribution to product development and business processes. A key focus for her is combining technological innovation with a modern working and leadership culture. In her view, the more processes are automated, the more important the role of people becomes in generating insights, making decisions, and driving change.
