Dr. Philipp Besson

Philipp Besson is a tax expert and recognised consultant at national and international level.

He joined WTS in 2017. Before joining WTS, he gained more than 16 years of in-house experience in the field of CIT and served as Head of Operational Taxes with global responsibility at one of the world's largest insurance groups headquartered in Munich.

He built this expertise on many years of experience in observing and analysing tax developments and tax lobbying at the German Insurance Association (GDV) and two years as an in-house tax lawyer at the Rhineland-Palatinate Regional Tax Office.

He now has more than 20 years of experience specialising in the taxation of global financial services groups, both nationally and internationally.

Philipp Besson specialises in the management of processes at the interface between tax and accounting services.

As head of the service line HR Taxes at WTS, he has extensive experience in all areas of HR tax and personal corporate taxes.
