Prof. Dr. Zülch studied economics at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität from 1993 to 1998. After graduating with a degree in business administration, he joined Ernst & Young Deutsche Allgemeine Treuhand AG, Ruhr area, where he worked as an audit assistant and later as a team leader in the Assurance & Advisory Business Services (AABS) division. At the same time, he did his Phd at the Institute of Auditing in Münster on a topic concerning international accounting. From October 2002 to August 2006, Prof. Dr. Zülch held the position of Junior Professor for Corporate Reporting, in particular International Accounting, at the Clausthal University of Technology. Since September 2006, he has held the Chair of Accounting, Auditing and Controlling at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. In addition, he has been a visiting professor at the University of Vienna in the area of "Selected Foreign Accounting Systems" since the winter semester 2007/2008. Prof. Dr. Zülch is a member of numerous national and international expert committees in the field of accounting and auditing.
