Melanie Sorg

Melanie Sorg is a tax advisor and has been Head of Finance and Accounting at Stark Deutschland GmbH since 2021. She is responsible for accounting, balance sheets, taxes and treasury of the building materials retailer, managing around 150 FTEs. She is also responsible for compliance with the accounting and tax guidelines of the German companies, works closely with the Danish parent company at international level and also ensures the implementation of cross-border requirements. Processes as well as pre- and post-merger finance integrations also determine her day-to-day business: together with her team, she continues to develop her area in the direction of digitalization, transparency and standardization of processes, and is always on the lookout for modernized work approaches and solutions. Prior to joining Stark, she held management positions in the area of balance sheets and accounting at the Schwarz Group.
